Sandra Suweidan
Attorney
Sandra Suweidan is an attorney whose career reflects a sustained commitment to justice,
accountability, and legal education. With more than thirty years of experience across criminal
prosecution, administrative adjudication, academia, and law enforcement, she brings a rare
breadth of perspective to public service. She currently serves as Executive Agency Counsel at
the New York City Police Department.
Sandra began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, prosecuting violent
felony cases and serving as a trial assistant in one of the nation’s busiest criminal courts. She
later served as an Administrative Law Judge with the New York City Taxi and Limousine
Commission.
An experienced educator, Sandra has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Criminal
Justice at St. John’s University and has delivered legal training for NYPD members at multiple
ranks. Her instructional focus includes constitutional policing, with a particular emphasis on
Fourth Amendment principles governing stop, question, and frisk.
Beyond her professional roles, Sandra is deeply engaged in community service. She previously
served on the Board of Directors of BRAVO Ambulance and continues to serve as a lector in her
church.
Sandra earned her Juris Doctor from CUNY School of Law and her Bachelor of Science degree,
with high honors, from Binghamton University. She is the proud mother of twin sons, Peter and
Matthew, who are in their final year of law school, continuing a family legacy of dedication to
the law.
