During her four years at the school, she became involved not only in the academics, but also in leadership, cheerleading and the theater.
Upon graduating in 1994, she attended Brooklyn College where her major was in TV/Radio Communications.
During her years at Brooklyn College, she became a disc jockey for the school's radio station, WBCR, where she hosted her own weekly music program. She entered a work internship at the tri-state area radio station, WKTU 103.5. She continued to work at a professional radio station to learn the trade and at the same time to earn college credits towards graduation. Caryn was soon promoted to be the Morning Show Associate Producer for "Hollywood Hamilton & Goumba Johnny Show." She remained at WKTU until 1999 when she accepted a job in Los Angeles, California. She became co-host of the program called "Maria Milano". During this period she was the host of Hollywood Hamilton, interviewed mega superstars, and started her own entertainment segment called "Maria's Minute". Her job included travel to 150 radio station affiliates all over the world. She attended parties with musical superstars such as N’Sync, Ja Rule and Destiny’s Child. She is presently living in Bay Ridge and is the field producer for the news/entertainment program, Good Day Live. Although a competitive field, she loves the excitement and change of scenery her job offers every day. In the FHHS yearbook, she is quoted as saying: "I'll see you at the Emmys". Good luck, Caryn!
