Marianne Curran-Fezza is a distinguished community leader and lifelong resident of Bay Ridge. A graduate of Fort Hamilton High School (Class of '78), Marianne dedicated thirty years to the textile industry before transitioning into childcare in 2008, where she continues to impact the lives of local families.
Marianne’s legacy is defined by her extensive philanthropic work. As a founding presence and current board member for Grandma’s Love, she has spent 11 years fighting food insecurity and advocating for children's literacy. Simultaneously, she serves as a key organizer for the El-Rose Foundation/Coats For The Cold, facilitating the collection and distribution of over 50,000 winter coats to the less fortunate across New York and coordinating Silver Sunsets a community event for seniors. She further serves her neighborhood as a dedicated Vice President of the Bay Ridge Ragamuffin Parade. The Ragamuffin parade has been a cornerstone event in the Bay Ridge community for nearly six decades.
Marianne’s impactful service has garnered significant recognition. She was installed as a Deputy Marshal of the 2024 Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade and is a recipient of both the 2024 DYCD Community Moms Award and the 2025 68th Precinct Police/Community Partnership Award.
She resides in Bay Ridge with her husband of 42 years, Robert, and is the proud "Grandmare" and great-grandmare to a growing family.
