Criteria for Consideration

 

To be eligible for induction into the Fort Hamilton High School Alumni Hall of Fame, the nominee must:

• Have graduated from Fort Hamilton High School at least 10 years prior to the nomination year

• Meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated excellence in a recognized profession such as law, education, medicine, science, journalism, or similar fields

  • Achieved outstanding success in a trade, business, or industry

  • Attained high achievement in one or more recognized cultural fields such as music, theater, dance, or literature

  • Made significant contributions to the broader community through volunteer service or charitable work

Nomination Guidelines

• All nominations must be submitted using the official Fort Hamilton Alumni Hall of Fame nomination form

• The nominator should provide as much contact information as possible for the nominee

• For posthumous nominations, include contact details for the nominee’s closest living relative or friend

• Nominators must be current members of the Fort Hamilton Alumni Association

• Self-nominations will not be accepted

• All nominations will remain confidential and will not be made public

• Submitted nominations and supporting materials become the property of the Fort Hamilton Alumni Association

• Materials will not be returned, reprinted, or distributed

• Nomination period: October 1 to November 15, 2025

• Selected inductees will be notified privately; a formal announcement will be made in November 2025

• Inductees will be honored at an event in April 2026

• Nominees will not be contacted unless selected for induction

• Nominations not selected for 2026 will be automatically reconsidered for 2028

• After 2028, a new nomination must be submitted

• Inductees must be able to attend the April 2026 Hall of Fame event

• Final deadline: November 15, 2025
