Musician / Entrepreneur

Over the last 40 years, Eddie Batiz has been an omnipresent and vital contributor to the competitive and trend setting world of New York City nightlife and entertainment.

He literally started his career on top of the world on the 110th floor of the World Trade Center’s legendary Windows of the World restaurant, where he was a DJ promoter at the ripe young age of 16!

He’s since graced the wheels of steel and the latest entertainment technology at world famous venues that include the Palladium, the Copacabana, Studio 54, Les Poulets Cafe, the Underground, Tavern on the Green, Latin Quarter’s,  LQ and Sequoia’s.

As an empresario, he’s opened and owned numerous venues synonymous with the very best in freestyle and live Latin music.  Eddie opened his first restaurant, Cafe Remy, in 1995. In 2006, he opened his second Remy in Brooklyn in 2005. Eddie also promoted Water Taxi Beach at the South Street Seaport in 2009 and 2010, averaging over 1,000 people a night and substantial revenues. He has played for Giorgio Armani and created Les Poulets Café.

In 2013, Eddie was hired as a promotional consultant for Bar 13 in New York City and currently manages all promotions. In  2022, Eddie began promoting and managing mini concerts for Juicy Lucy BBQ. As humble as he is hardworking, Eddie is indisputably an indispensable NYC entertainment OG and proud graduate of Fort Hamilton High School.
