The warmth in Elliott Lamboy's heart is only matched by the warmth he provides to thousands of New Yorkers.

 

Through his non-profit "Coats for the Cold" Lamboy has been diligently collecting coats for thousands of deserving New Yorkers since 2017. What started out with 589 coats collected that first year has skyrocketed to 10,000 coats this 2024 year. Last October, he was selected New Yorker of Week on NY 1.

This labor of love has also led him to create a special event for seniors called " Silver Sunset Strolls" for seniors who were greatly affected during COVID. This event brings seniors and young people together as the seniors are escorted down to the 69th St pier, where they are given warm food and entertainment, and they get to watch a beautiful sunset.
