FALL 2025 INTERNSHIP

 

The Fort Hamilton Alumni Association is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Intern to assist with essential administrative and digital tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in non-profit operations, database management, and website upkeep while contributing to the success of the Association. 

Responsibilities: 

The Student Intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the Alumni Association's mission, primarily focusing on data integrity and digital content management. Key duties include: 

Data Entry and Management: 

Perform accurate and timely data entry of alumni information, event attendance, and other records into the Association’s database system. Maintain and update existing alumni records to ensure data cleanliness and integrity. 

Assist with running basic database reports as requested by staff. 

Website and Digital Support: 

Assist with site maintenance and content updates on the Alumni Association website (CMS training will be provided). 

Format, resize, and upload images and other media for news articles, event pages, and gallery sections. 

Ensure all uploaded digital content adheres to brand and quality guidelines. 

General Administrative Support: 

Assist with preparation and organization of materials for events and mailings. 

Support staff with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications: 

Current Fort Hamilton High School student in good standing. 

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace). 

Comfortable learning new database and Content Management System (CMS) software quickly. 

Reliable, responsible, and capable of working independently after initial instruction. 

Ability to handle confidential alumni information with discretion and professionalism. 

Prior experience with data entry or website maintenance is a plus, but not required. 

Details: 

Part-time: 2 hours per week, flexible around class schedule

Semester-long: (with potential for extension) 

Compensation: $15 per hour

Location: Remote
